Football
3rd-8th Grades
- Benefits:
- Aside from the tremendous community and camaraderie GA has built over the years, there are many benefits to playing the sport of football.
- GA coaches and volunteers strive to instill the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and mental toughness in all players.
- We follow USA Football's training and player safety guidelines, with certified coaches at all levels.
- Coaches are trained and certified in Concussion Awareness, Lindsay's Law, and other best practices.
- Coaches teach the appropriate fundamentals at each level which help our players become better prepared and skilled in the sport of football.
- Teams:
- Guardian Angels Football is available for all GA students and parishioners in grades K through 8.
- Teams are organized by grade level and include:
- Bandit – Grade K-2
- Pony – Grade 3 & 4
- Reserve – Grade 5 & 6
- Varsity – Grade 7 & 8
- Season:
- Practices begin in July and vary by coach, typically 2-3 practices per week, held at Guardian Angels Fields.
- The regular season consists of 7-8 games – 1 per weekend – and lasts from late August through mid-October.
- Games are played against other area Catholic programs and teams are organized into Divisions to match similarly sized programs.
- Grades 3-8 participate in a post-season tournament that ends with championship games held in early November.
- Bandit season concludes with a postseason “Bandit Bowl,” held the weekend following the regular season.

- There are many ways to get involved and support the football program.
- Parent coaches are welcome and encouraged, but it takes many hands to provide a successful game day experience.

PreK-2nd Grade
Guardian Angels CO-ED Soccer: PreK-K
SAY East Guardian Angels Soccer: K-2nd Grade

- Benefits:
- SAY East Guardian Angels Soccer: Open to 1st - 8th grade students. The SAY Divisions are based on a player’s age as of July 31 in the current year. The Spring Season runs from late March/early April to the end of May (8 games).
- League Details:
- Teams are formed by “Blind Draw” procedures balancing the number of players by age and number on each team.
- Time commitment will be 1 to 2 practices a week (1 practice for younger grades, potentially 2 practices for older grades)
- Practices held at Guardian Angels during the week, with games on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Equipment Needed:
- All players will need shoes, shin guards, and are encouraged to bring water and their own soccer ball.
- Registration:
- If interested, please sign your son or daughter up on our Guardian Angels registration site. Sign up then to ensure a spot on a roster.
- Registration Fee: $90 for the SAY East league

Track
3rd-8th Grades
- Guardian Angels Track Season Overview:
- Spring season: March to May.
- Practices at Nagel Middle School.
- Meets on Saturdays in Greater Cincinnati Area.
- Includes Annual Guardian Angels Invitational for K-8th grade.
- Track and Field record board located in Main PC Gym at GA.
Team Divisions:
- Boys: K-2nd (Co-Ed), 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th.
- Girls: K-2nd (Co-Ed), 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th.

Volleyball
3rd-8th Grades

- To learn volleyball skills, while also developing their faith, self-confidence, and teamwork skills.

- Develops mental skills such as focus, strategy, and quick decision-making.
- Fosters friendships and camaraderie among teammates.
- Team Selection:
- Teams are separated by grade to ensure age-appropriate competition.
- Typically 3 or 4 teams per grade to maximize playing time.
- In 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, teams are blended to develop all players.
- In 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, competitive teams strive to compete in GCCYS leagues.
- Season Information:
- Girls Season: Runs in the fall with league games played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday over a seven-week period. A season-ending single-elimination tournament is played the third weekend in October.
- Boys Season: Typically begins in early spring. A season-ending single-elimination tournament is played at the end of April or the first week in May.
- Game Information:
- Boys & Girls Volleyball follows the Greater Cincinnati Catholic Youth Sports league rules.

- Two adults required at every practice.
- Parent coaches permitted in grades 3-5;
- A team head coach not a parent in grades 6-8.
